But there’s a trick to using SignMagic for truck lettering. Once you know this simple “trick”, you’ll save a lot of time and frustration.
Where on your truck do you want your message to be displayed?
The first step to design and price vinyl letters and graphics for your truck is to measure the key areas where you want your advertising message to appear. You’ll likely want to measure the driver’s and passanger side of your truck – and don’t forget the most important spot of all when you’re sitting in traffic – the backdoors.
For safety reasons, the drivers behind you have to keep an eye out for your brake lights. So their eyes will be automatically drawn to the vinyl graphics on your truck.
So where do you start?
Once you’ve measured the space where you want to put your vinyl graphics and lettering, it’s time to open SignMagic. Once it’s open, select the product you want to design from the drop down list (in this case, select “Vinyl Letters.”)
(One of the great things about vinyl lettering and graphics is that you can remove them later. So when you eventually sell your vehicle, you’ll preserve the resell value.)
Once you click on Vinyl Letters, choose the closest size to your measurements from the next drop down list.
Now that you have selected the size, a rectangular box will appear on screen that represents the area you are designing for. You can then begin to fill that rectangle with anything you want – text, graphics, logos and even a full-color photo.
When your first design ideas are put together, you can save them and instantly see your pricing options. For example, if you need lettering for only one side, just choose a quantity of 1. If you’d like both sides lettered, choose a quantity of 2. Or if you have two trucks you need to get lettered, you can select a quantity of four. The more sets you buy at once, the more you’ll save.
When you’re finished designing the different areas of your truck, you can preview a summary of all your designs and prices you have added to the shopping cart.
Then it’s time to make your final selections and complete your purchase online. You can complete your order instantly or even days or weeks from now … your designs will still be saved in our database! Once we receive your order, we’ll send you back a proof for your final approval before your order goes into production.
