GPS devices are great tools to get you from point A to point B. Today a number GPS devices use voice-driven turn-by-turn ( directions ~ instructions }. If you ever relied on the default POI data, you’ll soon realize that much of the data is old, out of date, or just plain incorrect.
ExxonMobil has added a great new customer service that will allow customers to download the latest GPS information for Exxon and Mobil stations, directly to their personal GPS devices. This data is kept up-to-date on a daily basis so it is never out-of-date, incorrect and it includes all active Exxon and Mobil locations. Customers can now easily locate the nearest Exxon or the nearest Mobil station.
You can download your personal Exxon and Mobil GPS POI files directly from the ExxonMobil Station Locator web site. Current manufacturers include Garmin, TomTom and Magellan. If you need more help, you can also take advantage ot the detailed video tutorials on the site..
Other enhancements to the Station Locator website include a Spanish-language option and real-time traffic reports.
Last spring, ExxonMobil revamped its website to include Google mapping technology. Also for the first time, ExxonMobil customers were able to develop turn-by-turn driving directions to Exxon and Mobil stations, as well as a range of utilitarian consumer services from each station’s linked home page. You will be able to find the nearest Exxon and Mobil station nearest to you, download Exxon and Mobil POI files formatted to your GPS device, and generate cusomize printable directions.
