You don’t go around finding many auto dealerships or even automotive salesmen pitching or selling stuff on eBay or on the internet. They prefer that you come into their dealership and talk to them. After all, they’re salespeople.
Well, according to autoblog, “The enterprising salesman has posted an auction on eBay to allow pre-purchase of the first Camaro to arrive at his dealership. However, since a retail price has yet to be announced, the bidding isn’t for the cost of the car per se, but the markup of the MSRP.”
I haven’t heard of someone selling the pre-purchase of the first vehicle to arrive at his delership–but I guess that is one way to try to sell vehicles. Is the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro going to be that popular that people are going to be bending over backwards to get one? Sure, it looks cool, but is it going to be worth it to pre-purchase this far in advance?
