ACDelco has recently announced that it will be the presenting sponsor at the Skull Shine World Nationals presented by ACDelco to be held at Norwalk Raceway Park, http://www.NorwalkRaceway.com, on August 25-27.
“We’ve had a long and productive association with Norwalk Raceway Park, which is the crown jewel of the eMax Drag Racing Series. Therefore, when we were offered the chance to be a part of the biggest IHRA race of the season at its premier facility, we jumped at the opportunity,” said Susan Christophersen, event marketing manager for GM service and parts operations.
Norwalk Raceway Park has hosted the World Nationals for 29 years and boasts the largest attendance of any race on the IHRA circuit.
“To have a company like ACDelco believe in us enough to put their name on our race is a validation of what we are doing, as well as drag racing as a whole,” said Bill Bader Jr., president of Norwalk Raceway Park. “Norwalk Raceway Park has been involved with ACDelco for a long, long time. I enjoy working with them, and they bring a lot to the table, not only as a sponsor, but as a marketing partner helping us fill the stands. This year’s Skull Shine World Nationals sponsored by ACDelco will be an exciting event no one will want to miss.”
The announcement increases the number of ACDelco’s supported events at Norwalk Raceway Park to three. A global leader in automotive replacement parts and services, ACDelco also sponsors Norwalk Raceway’s annual “Night Under Fire,” the world’s largest single-day drag racing event with over 37,000 spectators. The company also sponsors the ACDelco High School Nationals which attracts over 800 high school students from across the Midwest to Norwalk Raceway, where they compete in street-legal vehicles for over $20,000 in scholarship money.
